Lord knows we are all on personal journeys filled with learning experiences designed specifically for us — how nurturing. Let's save whether we learned from these experiences or not, for a different article. However, I too am in an everlasting process of learning. Learning that sharing my opinion is not required unless it’s asked for. Learning that some people are far more sensitive than they may be willing to admit. Within a hard exterior is such mush. How could this be? And why conceal it with the people closest to you? I am not interested nor am I in the business of securing feelings. Don’t we say “tell the truth” or “keep it a hunnid?” It’s like yall changing, or softening up on me. Where did your hardshell drop off and roll to? Go get it.
Stop walking on eggshells with people! If you cannot be you, simply remove yourself from whatever relationship it is. Stop wasting/making time to explain what you meant by what you said because it seems to always be taken out of context. Or, you two simply do not know each other as wll as you thought.
